Last year alone, in the operation area of E.ON Gaz Distribuţie, two persons died and other 12 suffered injuries following several explosions or fires caused mainly by makeshift in-house installations or the incorrect handling of gas burning appliances.
In order to avoid events with so serious consequences, the household customers must be aware of the risks they are exposed to when using makeshifts and have a responsible behaviour, avoiding any possibility to illegally install connections to the natural gas in-house installations.
Therefore, any modification made to the in-house installations must be exclusively performed through specialized and authorized companies or persons.
Furthermore, given the major risk of explosions and fires as a result of the improper use of natural gas burning appliances, especially cookers or stoves, the customers should carefully switch on/off the burners so as not to generate gas accumulations, which is one of most frequent causes of explosions.
The household customers complying with the instructions of natural gas use as well as addressing to specialists for any modification made to natural gas in-house installations are essential in order to prevent any possibility that serious events occur.
